I let my little sister ride Onyx the other day! Onyx did really really well! My sister hasn't riden much in the last few years because we sold are only kids horse and most of the other horses we have are not kids horses, I have been looking to buy another horse that I can give kids lessons on but haven't come across one I like yet... Onyx has been at the trainers now for about 45 days I would say and it has done wonders!! He will be there all next month as well for Dressage training. His movement is to big and fancy for western. This was my sisters first time riding him so I made her ride western witch was kinda an issue because she was using my saddle and the sturps were to long for her, but I didnt want her using her english saddle just in case something happened. Onyx is still green although he's never bucked or done anything bad while riding so I kept him on a line while she was riding. Better safe than sorry. ^^
The trainer was also really excited because she loves to jump, but most of her training horses are QH's and can't jump to save there life. And Onyx loves to jump! I jumped on him the other day and its lot of fun!! I'll be sure to get some pics of me riding some time soon.
