Our first trail adventure

My daughter and I took her horse, Citrus, out on the trail today. We walked him, letting him graze (I taught him "leave it" and "graze"), and then we sat by a lake and ate our picnic. I think next time, just to be safe, if we are going to sit down, we will wear our helmets. We even went over a car bridge and he breathed/snorted as he put his neck down and smelled, but he went over with no problems. He did not spook once. It was fun to just hang out and relax with him. Here are some pictures when we got back and let him roll in the round pen.
