Unhappy Our Ranch Flooded :(

The ranch I just moved my old Arab mare and my daughter's pony to, flooded today :( I have lived in this area my whole life, and am not used to it flooding like this (seeing as we are in Southern California) The house on the property even flooded!! Crazy.

The horses are all ok. The lady I board with even said my older mare was like "I wanna go play!" when she was moving her to the higher stalls on the property lol. Teddy was having fun splashing around in the huge puddles.

So she sent us (all the boarders... all 30 of us lol) pictures of what she came home to after leaving to get more flashlights and candles just in case they lost power....

The Stall you see in this picture was were my pony was:

You can barely see Bella's stall back behind the hay stacks:

Yea we just moved the horses to Valley Center (North SD County) They got 3 inches of rain in one day, and nearly 6.5 inches since Tuesday.... Are average is 8-10" PER YEAR.... so no one was ready for it. We will be spending all our time helping the owners of the ranch clean up.

Just got an update: The facility is fair, nothing washed away, and the ground is still stable. All the horses are safe and dry. They had been trenching everything all week, so all the water is already back down in the creek (except for the upper pasture) As long as we don't get too much more rain it will be ok :)

That's just crazy. I'm up in Riverside and although we're pretty waterlogged and muddy, we don't have any rivers going through! Glad to hear things went down pretty quickly and that there was higher ground to move the horses to.
