Yup, we wanted a shot at this too!! I've been wanting to do this dress up ever since I was little, and was overjoyed I actually got the chance this year. Indie and mines costume were made by hand by my sister and I, she sewed together most of my top, and helped me hem the edges of Indies blanket. It took us a week to get it all ready, and we were really proud at our handiwork. We made Indie's costume out of old bedding and a big piece of cloth we found laying around, mine was just clothes we found sitting in the to-be-trashed pile. Oh, and my moms Christmas table cloth for a cloak
I remembered reading somewhere that gaited horses used to serve members of high society during Renaissance times, and I was like "Hey, my mare is gaited, so why not?" It's hard to tell, but we were supposed to be fantasy nobles.
Please excuse the crappy bridle set up, I just got our new hack in the other day and haven't gotten a bridle to really work with it just yet LOL! So don't worry, that's getting fixed soon. ... and the jeans, I couldn't find matching pants, so my riding pants had to do
And with the cape (Indie's pretty bombproof )
(The reins were tight there because I was trying to back her up for a better picture, the neighbor horses had caught her attention xD But the perky ears made a cute pic)
(Lol, fixing the cape.)
Above is a video for a little action, even got Indie to rack towards the end pretty nicely.
Over all it was just plain fun, and decided to share, hope you enjoyed
