I have had Paden for a little over 2 months now and he is doing pretty well.
He had hernia surger the week before I bought him and it didn't hold, so he just had that redone last Monday, hoping it holds this time!
The vet gave us the ok to keep working, so we lightly lunge (mostly trotting, a few loping circles) everyday and he has been saddled for the 4th time yesterday. He is doing realy well with everything, still a naughty yearling, but has come leaps and bounds fromt he barely touched horse I got delivered to me on June 1.
He's got quite the extended trot but can also do a very cute jog, I think he will be a fun all around horse! I have started talking with trainers in the area as I do not feel comfortable climbing on a completely green 2 year old since I have had back surgery. Very exciting!
(please ignore how far foward his saddle is, lol. He has no withers and when he starts moving the saddle goes forward, he is only ever saddled for about 10 mins for him to get used to carrying the saddle)
