Another parade with the wonderful Red Hats Purple Chaps ladies.

For those of ya'll who don't remember they are an equestrian club of the Red Hat Society.

Learn more about the RHPC at their website. A lot of my photos are on there too. :)

Miracle Mile Parade 2009 - a set on Flickr

I am disappointed with this set. I didn't get as many as I'd have liked to. I was so so tired.

I worked Friday night. Went in at nine thirty, worked till seven fifteen. Then from there I drove two hours north to my friend's house. Then we drove together with her pony (in these photos above wearing the blanket) to the parade route. That was another half hour. Then we waited forever till the parade started. It seemed like hours and hours, but you have to be there at so and so time or else you can't get though. From there we moved on to a hot parking lot and waited and then the slow crawl to the parade route. The parade itself was long, and it was hot. Then the long long walk back. I was just exhausted! I was suppose to work Saturday night but I didn't think I could drive the almost three hours back to my town get a shower and do another nine hour shift with no sleep! So I called in. I'm all sunburned too. Blah!

Anyhow I hope everyone liked the photos. We always have a good time no matter how tired I am and yesterday was no exception!

I do. Her name is Jane Howard. Now the RHPC is a section or a side group of horsewomen that are Red Hat Society members. All is explained in the links I've posted with my original post.

Jane Howard is the lady riding the spotted saddle horse and wearing the crown and the Hoosier Hero Sash. She's the one who hired me. She's super awesome nice.

Hey,

I've ridden with them in several parades, in Kentucky, and the Derby Parade, I think. Can't quite remember. I'm on the Ohio Top Hands. We do pretty much anything. In fact, I just did a parade today for Labor Day, but it was with a different group, the Legends Posse. You can't talk about having a hard parade until you hippodrome the whole route with western gear on, leather chinks, a scarf, long-sleeve shirt, cowboy hat. Now that's a lot of work on your legs. Lol.
