    Photos I took of Jasper

This is my 6 yo old Bay Roan " Jasper " (My Roan Valentine). He is a work in progress but underneath the baggage is a real nice horse.

He likes to buck when you first get to working with him. A few laps of w/j/l both directions on the ground does wonders, he gets the play out, then he works great. Until then it makes for some great photo ops.
My trainer works with him and me on a weekly basis. This past week she did the working and I got to take some photos!

I would imagine he does. Lately his under saddle time is limited. My last saddle was not a stellar fit so I ordered a custom saddle. To help off set the cost I sold my old one... So I'm saddle less lol.

Thus my trainer brings her saddle. If he would be tacked up everyday I think the silly bucking would go away. When you work him without a saddle he does not buck, and I can ride him bareback.

He is NOT the type you can just tack up and go hit the trails. I think in a few years he will be, but right now he lacks the training and the maturity to do it.

That being said I hear Hancock bred horses just like to buck. So maybe he will always be like that! Only time will tell.
