Ok first off, if you are wondering why my hand position looks odd in these pictures, I do have a reason for it. I've been working Jubilee with a very loose rein lately and have been getting her on the bit with little rein pressure - just give and take with my hands. I ask for her head and when she gives it to me I release immediately and give to her. She is responding AMAZINGLY and its like a total change. No longer am I fighting with her, she's slowing her pace and she's respecting me A LOT more. Her butt just scoops underneath her too and she's really working through her hind end. It's like we've come to an understanding. All of her gaits have improved immensely.
Also, in these pics I'm really working on keeping my toes pointed forward and my stirrups are a little short, but anyway, ALL of that being said ...
here is Jubilee undersaddle. October 11, 2008.
*Please note, I am not pulling on her face in any of these pictures, I am asking only with gentle tug and release.
STANDING (trying to get headset)
JUMPING AN X-RAIL (please forgive us, I haven't jumped in a long time and I know she's overjumping)
Hope you enjoyed and thanks for looking!
