Pics of my cousins and friends riding

Just wanted to share these few pictures of my cousins and friends riding my 3 year old gelding and my great uncles 23 year old mare.

^ My 10 year old cousin Autumn riding Buttercup.

^ My cousin Autumn riding her 3 year old sister Lexi around.

^ Carson, a 9 year old who goes to my church. He and his brothers are coming over once or twice a week to ride since they have gotten a horse and donít know much about horses. This was his first time riding and he found out that he likes Buttercup more than he likes Dakota.

^ Tyler riding Dakota. This is the second time heís ever ridden. He said that he really likes riding Dakota because heís so responsive. Heís still trying to get the posting trot. Tylerís 14.

^ Another pic of Tyler riding Dakota.

^ Tyler trotting with Dakota.

^ This was when Dakota broke stride and cantered a few strides. Tyler said it scared him, but that it was really fun and he wants to learn to canter once he gets the posting trot.

^ My 12 year old cousin Whitney riding Dakota. Whitney rides Dakota a pretty good bit and wants me to teach him to barrel race so she can compete for the fun of it. Iím going to teach him once I get an arena built, and Iím thinking about teaching him poles and how to jump, if it seems like heíd enjoy it.

I love Tyler's facial expressions hehe He really seems like he enjoys riding :)

The two littlest girls are adorable and both horses look great!

Buttercup is marked up nicely and I can't believe she is that old. She dosen't look it.

Lol, yeah, I didn't pay no attention to Tyler's expressions until just now...
Autumn and Lexi (the two littlest) are so cute... I love taking pictures of them riding.
Yeah, she doesn't look that old... but you can tell that she's getting older when you look at her without a rider... She's still in good shape, though.

You guys are such a horse family, Britt. :) I love that you share riding with so many's such a cool experience to be around horses, and not everyone gets to have access to it.

Is Dakota your walker who is almost the same age as my horse? LoL, I ask because he is built a lot like her. He's looking really good.

Buttercup is adorable, too. What breed is she?

Yeppers, Dakota would be the one close to your horses age. He's 15.2 hands now... though since he's still slim, he doesn't look very big... but when he's standing nect to my mare (who is 15.1) you can really tell the difference.

Bttercup is a Racking Horse.

Annie is exactly the same size as Dakota! LoL, I bet they will top out at the same height. We should keep track of them as they grow. She grew an inch this summer. She's really thin, too...I had just gotten her weight where I wanted it, then she hit another growth spurt.

My boyfriend says Buttercup is a good looking horse.

Cool! How big do you think your Annie will end up at? Dakota's sire was 15 hand even, but he's 24 and has 'shrunk'... lol. He was 15.1 in his youth. Dakota's dam is, as I said before, 15.1 hands. His grandsire on his sires side is 16.1 hands and his granddam on his sires side was about 15.2 hands. His grandsire on his dams side was 16.3 hands and his granddam on his dams side was 15.3 hands. All on his half-siblings from his sire have topped out between 15.2 and 16.1 hands... so I'm hoping he grows at least another inch or two... but if he stays where he is, I don't have a problem with it...

Dakota doesn't look it in these pictures, but he's getting ribby again... I think he's going through another growth spurt too... he always get ribby when he goes through a growth spurt...

Green Broke
Just noticed the younger girls are not wearing helmets. But I believe their parents are riders (Sorry if I'm wrong)? Please DO NOT turn this into a debate.

Their mum rides on occassion... last time she rode was last halloween. She's kinda scared of horses. Their dad don't ride. That's why whenever they want to ride, they come down to either their grandpa's or my house.
