Pics from today's show!! Part 2!

Does anyone remember the show I went to last month, and things were a bit disappointing with Silver Sabre? But really great with Love Story? To refresh, here's the link:

Pics from today's show!!

Well, I am very happy to say that Silver was absolutley fantastic at our show today! I entered her in a 40cm class, and a 60cm, and I took Love in the 70cm... Last show I couldn't even get Silver over the first jump! So this time I knew I had to really drive her for it, and she jumped the first two jumps beautifully. But we had a bit of trouble at the third one; there was a tent RIGHT NEXT TO it, that was loose and FLAPPING over into the arena, so I don't blame her for wanting to pull out! She stopped, but I gave her a firm squeeze and a tap with the crop, and she jumped it nicely. We ALMOST had the same problem at number four, which was directly after the third, but I drove her on and we had no hassles. The rest of the course she did superbly. The judges were very nice and only gave me two penalties for the stop, because they realized it was the tent that caused it, as many other horses had done the same thing... So I didn't place there. But I did fall off lol! After we finished Silver turned right very sharply, and almost collided with another horse, so she leapt back and twisted, and I kind of slid off

Then it was the 60cm... Even though the show organizers had removed the tent from the side of the arena, I knew Silver would still be a little nervous of going there, so I was prepared; I rode her directly along the fence, giving her no chance to pull out, and a gentle nudge to encourage her, and she did them beautifully. Everyone laughed (good naturedly) when I was like "Good Girl!!" really loud after that line. The rest of the course went by perfectly, as did the jump off, the only scary moment was when I turned her to sharply to a fence, so she messed up her striding a bit, but she cleared it... I was so surprised and delighted when I heard I had placed SECOND! I was so happy I almost burst into tears lol, I was so proud of Silver!

Okay, so, it was Love Story so I had no worries what so ever. I go in, and she gives me a beautiful clear round, followed by an even better jump off. I was busy picking a small stone out of Love's hoof when I heard that I had WON the class, out of something like 15 riders! I stood up and was like "WHAT?" I was so happy I DID burst into tears lol, and I quickly got on and went in to get my rosette.

It was all in all a VERY good day, and I couldn't be more proud of my two wonderful mares *happy tears*

Congratulations! :] It's really a great feeling to do so well when all you were concerned about is simply making progress with your horses! They're both beautiful btw, and you guys look great.

Thank you so much! I went to that show just to get Silver to see that she can jump at shows, that the bright poles and people noise wont eat her, and I accomplished it :)
