Picture update on the rescue ponies and others! (pic overload)

It has been an interesting last few weeks! Lots of time spent in the barn tending the two gimpy babies, Floyd and Faith. Building a roundpen. Training Socks. Starting Cosmo. All while job hunting and helping my mother plan my brothers graduation. I am generally exhausted, but I feel so good at the end of the day when I see my rescue babies doing so well.

Floyd is doing really good, aside from his ringbone and the issues there, he has become healthier all around. He's looking fabulous!

Faith is about 75% healed of her gashes and lacerations and is enjoying the sunshine, a little too much at times (you'll see in a minute!)

Here they are, over the last few days.

And so they don't feel left out of all this...

And Faith's first video appearance (so stinkin' cute!)

Aww they look great! I think I must have missed out on the story on Faith - she's not the same one that the people near you had, is she? The one the people kept going back and forth about keeping or letting you take? What's her story, and where do the gashes come from?

Floyd is sure looking good! And Tina is bee-yootiful!

No, that one i'm trying to work with from a distance. Trying to get her into a good companion only home.

This is Faith's story.

Oh honey, you and I are peas in a pod. I couldn't have turned my back on that girl either. There's a reason I haven't been to auction in years - I would have way too many med cases if I did.

She looks to be a lovely little thing and she's healing up great! And if she gets sound on that knee you might yet have a heck of a good trail horse out of her after all, one day. :) How is she moving?

She moves great. She's doing really well now. The most pressing issue now is her feet. I've been working on teaching her to pick them up (which she apparently didn't know). Finally, she'll let me mess with the bad leg. Her feet are terrible and i'm trying to get my farrier to come out a week earlier than normal, but I can't get ahold of him. Grrr. I haven't logged on in a bit, so heres some more pictures (I just love sharing them).

I was planning on fixing her up and trying to find her a home. However... she seems really well put together, and is very level headed for a young mare. Sigh...

This was about a week ago.

This was her intro to my other girls:

Some days, she looks older to me than what we thought. Her teeth don't lie, I guess. But she hangs her lower lip sometimes, and she just looks a lot wiser than 2-3 years??

And some bonus Floyd pics. I'm an aspiring photographer and I never get the chance to include myself in pictures. Nobody can ever help me, but I took these ones myself.
