This is Showdown. I started taking lessons on him when I was 12 (nearly 10 years ago). We have quite the story together, which I won't get into right now. He is 26 years old, 14.3 and was 2nd in the world reining horse back in his day (till he had a leg injury). I leased him for three years, until I got my mare a month ago. My trainer/coach is his owner.

Here's some other pictures that I love of some of the other horses where Showdown is boarded:

Nice horse, Kelly.

I know this isn't a critique but I need to mention that your stirrups are not adjusted properly. The fenders should only be 1 or 2 inches off the stirrup. To get more length, you pull the fenders down - not lengthen the leathers. The way you have it is very improper as well as dangerous.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

Thanks for being concerned! I did notice this as well, and I'm not quite sure the reasoning behind this (I forgot why exactly they were like that, I'm pretty sure we had a reason for it). The saddle placement also looks a little off & I probably fixed it before I rode. I actually think I was just taking pictures that day. But thank you again for noticing!
