I just recently got some pictures of the barn and of my other horses besides Daisy, lol. So I thought I would post them. :] Enjoy.

Blondie is the palomino.
Greta is the grulla.
Loot is the chestnut with white face.
I didn't take any pictures of my gelding Joey because he looked rather motley... but when he's looking prettier, I'll post some of him. :]

Hope you enjoy!

Greta is an own daughter of Mecom Blue - look him up if you haven't. ;] She looks just like her daddy, and in the summer, she'll blue out completely. Sooo pretty.

Ha ha, Blondie belongs to the BO, a friend of mine. But she rarely comes out (busy with the kids and business)... so I get full run of the lot. Lol. She is a looker, that's for sure.

Thank you guys for the compliments! :D

Beautiful horses & beautiful barn! Blondie is sure pretty...and the lime green looks really good on her. (I've got a raspberry colored halter on my pali & her riding gear is all browns)

On the Grullo, on his left side, is that a brand?

Ha ha, thanks guys. It's definitely nice to have a new place - I LOVE staying out there for hours. Lol. It wasn't like that at the old place.

And yes, that's a brand on her shoulder. From Wichita Ranch, where she was bred. My other mare Daisy (not pictured,) has the same brand on her shoulder - she used to be a brood mare there. :]

Gosh, I couldn't stand the people at my old place. I think, often, there are two kinds of horse people...

There's the kind that know a lot about horses, are always willing to learn, and love -all- horses - not just their own. They aren't in it to brag their skills.

Then there are the kind that my last barn was flooded with - the kind that know a little bit, but like to act like they know -everything- and aren't open to learning. They don't care about any horse but their own, and like to talk big about the little that they know.

I used to get so frustrated because on a day that I couldn't make it out, I'd ask a girl about my age to make sure my babies had clean water. Or if was cold, put their blankets on. She would ask me for similar favors when she was out of town, and I always did them. Just little things, and she would either not do them, or ask me to pay her (which I always did anyway.) And she always had something to say about the way I did things (i.e. "You shouldn't feed your horses just pellet-feed." or "Why do they HAVE to have their blankets?") It drove me crazy. A lot of my stuff -mysteriously- disappeared and then reappeared when I mentioned it was missing... hmm...

Anyone ever had that happen?

I guess that's why I'm so glad we have our own place now. I keep my horses at a friend's barn, and it's just her horses and mine, so it's nice. We share all the responsibilities equally, and treat all the horses like our own. It's not at home, but it's still great to not worry about anything, and know that everything is getting done right.
