Thanks everyone! I'm planning on making him a sport horse for me, and I'm looking forward to training him. I'm actually going to train him myself (with my mom's guidance, she has trained horses before) for one of my 4-H projects. Eventually I'd really like to be able to jump with him, but not soon, he's just a baby!
I sent his pedigree into AHA for a transfer of ownership, so I'm not 100% sure of his lines right now. I do know that he has Aladdin and Padron, I think he has Magnum Psyche in him too. He has several other nice horses in there too... but I don't know their names off the top of my head.
He was bred to be a Scottsdale halter horse, but he showed at Scottsdale last year and didn't do all that well (not bad, just not 1st place material) so the show barn decided to give him to another lady becuase he wasn't going to win. The other lady needed to make room for some rescue horses, and she told us that we could just take him because she needed the space. So, it worked out pretty well for me! I'm super excited to train him, too, because he takes everything so willingly! (Gotta love those arabs!)
