I finally got a horse.
After getting a job I wondered if I wanted to have money and savings and all the wigs and contact lenses I ever wanted.
Then I thought nahhh MUST GET A PONY.
I looked and look and looked some more but NOTHING was cheap, unbroken and not a shetland.
So after finding out the woman who runs Mum's livery yard had 3 unbacked ponies for sale, I went straight in and bought the biggest one.
A 12.2hh PB New Forest mare.
She was called Dixie, but it didn't suit her at all. Her passport name is Ower Princess and she looks good in sparkly things...so Princess she became!
She's absolutely insane at the moment from being separated from her friends but there's been a massive improvement over the past 3 days.
On the first day she cantered around her stable and charged at anyone who came in.
The second day she was like a lamb in her stable but pawed and reared at being tied up.
Now on the third day she'll stand being tied up with a haynet with no objections, leads quietly and is fantastic in her stable.
So I'm looking forward to seeing what she will be like in the next month or so after starting work
Pictures!
