Random Roundup pictures

So, I managed to get some random pictures of the "wild horse" roundup the last few days.

These are from the first day, when we managed to coax the larger band (13 head) up into the corrals with cake on the back of the truck. Unfortunately, no good pictures of my new filly.

Oh, and please no comments on the crappy corrals/pens and all the junk. It's not my property and these aren't my horses...except for the one that I am getting.

These were taken from the pickup, I just stuck my hand out the passenger side window.










Dad went out yesterday and managed to corral another of the bands (there were 3 bands, the one big one and 2 very small ones). This is a mare and a stud that are being held in my roundpen for the time being until we can get the others rounded up.

And here are some pix while me and Dad tried to corral the other 3 today. Unsuccessfully, I might add.

I love the markings on some of these horses :) Congrats on the little filly btw.

May I ask what is going to happen with the horses once they're secured? They look in fairly good condition.

Chevaux, as far as I know, they are going to a broker. I have no idea what he'll do with them, probably just get the best price he can from them, no matter who buys them.

Considering what they are, that will probably be the packer.

Darn - unfortunate...
