Remembering Sadie

So I thought I'd share some photos with you guys of my first and only horse. Her name is Sadie and she's a 24 year old American Saddlbred mare. She was World Champion Two Year Old Fine Harness. I sold her in February and she now lives up in MN with her new owners who loves her very much! The pics go from most recent to the oldest.

Oh, and she only has one eye and gets along just fine.

Thanks for looking!

(Lots of pics, so I'm sorry if you have slow dial up or internet!!)

Up in MN with her new owners!

(click in the link b/c the pic is huge!)

Back home when she was with me.

And from her showing years as a young gun!

awhh, she's so cute! If you don't mind me asking, why'd you sell her? You two looked really good together.

Rezzi, no, its okay. I don't mind talking about it for the most part. I sold her because I was advancing in my riding and jumping ability and she was just getting older and I could tell that jumping any higher than 1'6" was not her thing at all. She was as sweet as could be at anything other than jumping higher. I'm also going to a horse college in the fall and I didn't want to take her and make her go through all of that, too. But now she's with a whole bunch of horse friends and she is very happy.

Where are you going to horse college at? Just curious, I want to attend Meredith Manor.

It's been awhile, but I'm back & back in the saddle!

That's a perfect example that horse even with disability can be just great and there is no need to put it down! I'm very glad you made it possible for her!
