Riding Demi in the snow! *pics!*

So, yesterday I posted a thread about riding my other mare Uma in the snow for the first time of the New Year. Today, I rode my 15hh TB mare, Demi! She was GREAT! I haven't ridden her in about two weeks due to the snow quickly turning into ice and the drifts being too high. But today, I finally got to go out and ride my girl.

By the way... her movement is very animated. And guess what? She's not extending! This is the way she moves EVERY DAY! I'm a lucky girl :)

So here are the pics! Enjoy! *please no comments on her being behind the vertical, this was not the focus today and she tends to be a lower-headed horse anyway. It's something we are working on and I have a trainer for that. Thanks!*

Aww! She's adorable and she has an adorable trot! I wish we got that much snow here. O.o Although, Lacey might disappear into all of it. Haha

Rest peacefully, Lacey.

Thanks Wallaby! I'll be sure to tell Demi how adorable she is. Of course, no need to inflate her ego. She thinks she's pretty much the best thing since sliced bread. Lol

I am so tired of the snow! Trudging to the barn has been a pain and we don't have barn doors. That equals one big mess. We got about 14" but we have 6 foot drifts! Really animates the horse's movement though!

Ditto that! She is gorgeous!

Do not follow where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail...

Thanks guys. She is by far the hottest TB I've ridden but she's UBER talented. And she knows it. So JTM, you are right about the last pic, that's probably exactly what she was thinking. Lol

She's only 15hh so I was surprised to see that trot out of her. I have only had her since June and I got her sight unseen basically. I got lucky on that one. Haha.

She is going to make really nice babies in the future when we breed her. (not for a long while, she just turned 7). We are thinking Cicera's Icewater, A Fine Romance, or Guaranteed Gold for her first :)

haha that's funny paintluver! Her original name was Drew. But since my name is Drew, I changed it. I named her Demi because she's small and apparently that's what demi means. Like "Demi-god" means "lower god".

Her show name is still Nancy Drew though. I think it's pretty funny

"Now entering the ring, Drew ______ riding Nancy Drew!" lol
