the squirrels bury their nuts along the railroad ties that form our arena "fence". I don't know why, but they refuse to move if we are tracking towards them wile they are taking "nut inventory"

Those are pretty cool pictures Roo's are pretty fun little guys. I was in Cairnes a few years back and was in a zoo out there and I was petting a female and a little Joe pops out and grabs my drink.

Some of my fondest memories are from the land down under.

Love the pics!

Don't you just hate it when roo's jump out of the bushes right next to your horse? . . . .especially when your horses are super fit spooky arabs!! lol You suddenly move a few metres to the side in a very fast and unexpected manner! LOL

Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of solitaire. It is a grand passion. It seizes a person whole and, once it has done so, he will have to accept that his life will be radically changed.

Thanks for the comments! We have 2 herds here of roos, one group has 7 roos at last count and the other had 12. They mainly hang out in the bush down the street, hardly ever in our paddocks cause we are always doing things out there so it was weird that they sat there the whole time I rode and let us come so close.
