Riley's New Home

Hello! Just thought I would share some pictures that I took this evening of Riley at the new place. If you aren't familiar with my story, basically I was in boarding hell at my old barn. A few weeks ago, I finally moved him out of there and we are so much happier here! Everything is great, there is so much more activity here, it's nice to be around other people who dote over their horses as much as I do. Everyone is so nice, I feel like I fit in here. Of course, with more activity, there are times when the barn is pretty crowded, but I'll take a barn crowded with good people over being picked on and belittled any day of the week.

It's usually really quiet in the early afternoon and later in the evening, so that's when I spend my time there. Even if there is a random lesson going on, I never feel like I'm in the way. Most of the people here show their horses, so my presence during there lessons is considered the same as another horse and rider that they would have to share the ring with at a show. Sometimes, I am even encouraged to participate in the warm ups or post-lesson rides around the property. It's nice to feel so welcome!

Well here they are, as promised...

I'm so glad you found such a nice barn. It makes such a huge difference. Your horse looks pretty happy too.

I've actually heard that a lot! It would be nice to know his actual lineage, maybe they are related somehow. The markings are so similar.
