And I love the way she's not ashamed!!!!
hahahahah. Alright. Here are some updated pictures of Cricket. She's just getting her winter coat in and she's a fuzzy wuzzy pony <3
Okay so these are the first day we brought her home. I know y'all have probably seen them a million times but I'm just so proud of how fat she's getting.
Okay and here she is as of yesterday =D
I'm happy with how far she's coming not just on her weight but also in her training. We took off riding for a while because her ground manners were insanely horrible. My trainer called me the other night and she goes "Have you been on craigslist recently??" I explained that I hadn't and what I needed to look up and she told me about a lady in Romona and now in Lakeside who is supposedly stealing horses and reselling them. They're mostly emaciated, and she claims they are rescues. She has six counts of animal neglect on her from the SPCA and on their site you can read about how she starves her horses. She also sells green horses as amazingly trained. Her exercise rider is supposedly in trouble for fraud as well.
Well, I was wondering what all of this had to do with me... And then she told me that this was the lady she got me Cricket from. It explains everything. How her papers were "lost" and she had no information on her except that she's six and an Appendix. Anyone could figure that out. It explains how she didn't know the horse didn't load. It explains how really "untrained" my horse is. And now I feel really sorry for feeling so frusterated with my poor mare. I feel bad that the thought of resell came into my mind.
I'm happy with mine and my trainers decision though. And I love my girl very much even though I know we have alot to work on ;). I'm up for the challenge!
Love you, Scrooge! <3 <3
