A sad goodbye, and a goodbye for now.

Last Tuesday Mr Appy Gilmore, left for his new home. I'm so sad to see him go, but it was time for him to work his particular brand of spotty magic for another person, and it seems to be working, the new owner has already been riding him bareback, because his saddle doesn't fit right, and this is a young man who hasn't ridden for a few years, but he just feels comfortable with Appy G. I truly hope that Appy G takes him all the way back to enjoying his riding full time again.

Farewell Appy Gilmore, you are a star, from uncertain beginnings, you have carried me through fat and thin, cold and hot, western and English, from happy sometime trail rider to dressage and jumping, it was a wild ride, Thank you Appy G.

    Awe. So bittersweet.

I'm glad you were able to find him a home that will appreciate him!

Then today Ben left for 60 days at the trainers, and it feels really odd, I've never sent one out before, I'm nervous and excited, I hope he is a good boy, he's been there 3 hours already is it to soon to phone for an update?

I grabbed some pics before we left, such a handsome boy.

    Be good Ben!

WoW, Look at that grass! And the room to run! I think he'll be happy there.

    Yeah for Ben!

Aw! I hope there weren't too many tears. Glad he has gone to a good home, and I'm quite smitten by Ben! What a handsome man!

My "first love" was a black horse named Ben... if your Ben is anything like him, you've got a good one on your hands :)

Silly question.. but was your appy gaited? He looks like he might possibly of been shuffling in that one pic?
