Sage Is Six Today (* PICTURE HEAVY *)

Hello all, well today is Sageís birthday. Itís hard to believe that sheís six years old now. It doesnít seem that long ago that she was just a few months old. Itís amazing how fast time goes by now that Iím older. Yesterday was an ok day. The sun was out briefly so I took some pictures of her messing around out in the pasture. Then later in the afternoon I went back outside and took a few more pictures of her. I wanted to get some halter pictures of her but doesnít seem like there is anywhere flat out there to take pictures.

She was ok with it at first and then she got bored. Lol Iíve been riding her which is nice. The other day she was feeling a little froggy. She just wanted to go go go. Iíve registered both of us for a reining clinic in a couple weeks. Iím excited about that. Itíll be our second clinic and my second clinic altogether. Iím looking forward to it. Possible take some lessons from the trainer too. Weíll see how it goes.

Anyone have a formula for fly spray that works? Or use a fly spray that works? Iíve been using Endure and another kind, itís an orange bottle I canít think of the name of it but itís not really working. Iím going to bathe Sage in dawn because it is suppose to help repel ticks. Poor thing has reactions to where sheís getting bit. Youíll see some of the marks in the pictures.

Here are some pictures of her.

I am having tick problems too, ugh! I pulled 15 out of my 2yr old, Vegas's tail yesterday that were attached, yuck!!!! I heard from someone one here that MTG helps repel, I just bought a bottle and I am going to try it to see if it helps...

Thank you. I probably won't use MTG. I'll try this formula first and try different sprays. MTG is petroleum based and I've heard some horror stories from it too.

I use Farnam fly wipe and I find it works really to keep ticks off but also flies and other bugs.

I use the Endure... seems to work better than anything else I've used, which is to say it works a bit for a while. Still have to use it daily though, no matter what the bottle says.
