Second Horse Show - Cranky Mare

Here's a few pictures from our second horse show to start the year. I had one cranky mare. She was in season and a previous stable buddy came to the show and started her off on the wrong hoof. Thank goodness for my trainer. He had to work her for about 20 minutes and then he had me work her for another 10 minutes before we went into the arena for the West. Pleasure warm-up. They let us have a warm-up before the actual class, very nice of them. You'll note in the warm up pictures I'm having to ride with split reins. It was like sitting on a keg of TNT. Also note my cheesey smile, very tense in there. We had a class of around 20 riders and no vacancies on the rail. Nose to tail all the way around. Here's a link to our first horse show of the season. (I'm wearing the same colors, figured I'd save my snazzy stuff for the big show). Also, note how calm and quite my horse appears in these first pics. I wish that was the horse that showed up Saturday. http://mevans3.photobiz.com/cart/gal...lleryID=863136

Even cranky, she looks great! Man, I love your saddle! I've been looking for a nice show saddle for years, but they're all so pricey lol.

Thank you for the compliments.

Equinehpile - I bought my saddle used at horsesaddleshop.com. It was very reasonable, I thought, paid $650 and free shipping. I am really happy with it. They said used very lightly and it was definitely used lightly, if ridden in at all. I had to turn the stirrups when I received, the leather was so stiff. Hardly any wear on the ruffed out seat as well. All silver pieces were on the saddle, none missing.

Next horse show coming up this Saturday. I think we'll throw off the competition and change our colors for this show. I'm thinking maybe pink. That's supposed to be a soothing color.
