    I've been going out to some horse shows in an attempt to get better with my photography. I hope you enjoy these shots from today. Comments and critique (on the photos, not the horses or riders) is always welcome.

    I think those pictures came out beautiful. Really crisp and the color is very vibrant.

    Do you mind if I ask what type of camera you were using?

    I have a Nikon D50 (it's now an "old" camera, but it still works and serves me well).
    I've been having a lot of trouble focusing on the horse/rider to get sharp shots, but I'm getting better with it, I think.

    I shot these with either a Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 or the Nikkor 70-300 f/5.6 (switched them the see which worked best). My Nikkor lens was cheap ($125.00 used) and does produce purple fringing at times, but on these shots it worked well and I think had crisper, cleaner color than the Sigma lens did.
