OH! We also had a SUPER fun gaming show to go to over a month ago and everyone did AMAZING. It was a very laid back atmosphere, totally a silly games gymkhana and we had a BLAST. I think I ended up winning like 4th in barrels, 5th in keyhole, 5th in the licorice race, 1st in double barrels, 1st in phone book relay and 2nd in egg and spoon.


Me and Shayla in the phone book race - we had to gallop to the end of the arena, Shay-la jumped off while I held Justus, find page 100 in a phone book, rip it out and show it to the attendant then jump back on and gallop home while holding a 2'0" long piece of toilet paper - we were home and on our victory lap before anyone even mounted up again!!


Our trophies for winning! The reason why I am SO excited is because the VERY thoughtful gate person actually made sure I got the green trophy and Shay-la got the pink one to match our horses outfits!


Egg and spoon master - first time I've ever NOT won egg and spoon and it was because my last competition was riding an AQHA champion pleasure mare. LOL


Jynx was having NO part of this ridiculous spear the potato race.

Squeeee! Se looks fantastic MM! I know exactly how you feel, the last show I took Lucy too before I left she spent all day screaming out to her mate out the back, you just want to kill them ha ha!

And might I say, you look fantastic! I haven't been on here for a while, but girl you are looking awesome :)

Awwww thankies! 25 pounds down and 25 more to go! Me and Shay-la have started a jogging program and will be doing a 5K run on September 30 for Run For The Cure! Our goal is a 10k next year!!!

Yeah our friends actually decided not to go to this show even though they were sponsors because of past experiences with this judge. Thankfully, this circuit doesn't allow the same judge 2 years in a row so if we DO go next year, it will be a different judge. I found last years judge very reasonable and fair and I didn't even pin in most classes so I'm definitely not sour grapes about not pining. It's just hard when you see the SAME horses pinning and they all happen to be his students..... I'm pretty sure that's why they won't allow the same judge more then one year running. We have so few, they're BOUND to be judging their own students as well. Some just pull it off better then others!

I had a judge @ my very first show that told me that my horse needed to go back to the basics and didnt belong in a show ring because she kept breaking gait and throwing her head up it turns out she had grass on her bit it dried and it rubbed her skin raw and than I went in again and she said that I didnt belong here and didnt want to place me, that got my trainer going, the judge ended up popping out her shoulder ut in a showmanship class trying to handle a different horse, I mean were 4h kids for crying out loud this is for fun and she's judging like this is nationals
