Snow Day! (lots of pics!)

So I had to stay home today and watch my neice who has the flu. We got our first snow last night. Temps are 10 deg F and feels like -15 deg F, the wind is NW at 21 MPH and gusting to 35 MPH. Got some pics of the hosses "enjoying" the snow. Poor babies.

I feel fortunate! We dodged the snow bullet yesterday. It stayed just warm enough that we just got some drizzley rain. 20 miles north it was ice and further than that snow. Its bitter cold out now though

Nice photos! I love the snow :) The horses don't look like they care for it that much though.. We are having a storm right now..supposed to get around 18" of snow between last night and Thursday!

Thanks Mystery. Actually Vida I'd rather just have the snow. Last year it rained & froze and melted & froze so when we did get snow it was like a bunch of snow over a sheet of glare ice. It was dangerous riding or walking for that matter. I wish it wasn't so darn cold though and the wind could go away too!

Don't know if my horses agree with me though! It's so funny looking at them. They're all snowy, but they're still sweaty in certian areas. I'm glad I get to stay home today so I can make sure they have plenty of hay throughout the day.

LOL, thanks Rustic. I think you're getting the same thing we got. It looks like as this storm is going east it's dumping more snow. Even 30 miles east of me they had 7" yesterday! I wish we had that much. We got about 3" but it's hard to tell because of the drifts.

Yeah we are.. A lot of ours that we get though is Lake Effect snow, but I do believe some of it is from the storm. A lot of that went downstate though.

Ahh, I used to live in Duluth and we got crazy snow due to the lake. It was awesome. I love snow! Hate the cold though!

For sure, I love the snow, but the cold gets me sometimes.. I hate that blast of cold air you get walking outside hah.

I love Duluth! It's a neat little city. My nephew goes there every month or two for doctors appointments and our school used to go on trips there as well. Lots of fun.
