Some before and after pictures - Simba

Hey all! Haven't been around much lately, been far too busy between work, babies and ponies! Thought I'd post some updated photos of Simba who we got back in mid January so you can see how he is progressing. I'll post a before picture first.

And this is him out hackin with the little one during the week.

He has settled in well, obviously now that he is feeling better in himself he is much perkier than before, but has no badness and has yet to put a foot wrong.. I just give him a quick lunge before she hops up
Wallaby, AQHA13, Thyme and 2 others like this.

omg, what an adorable picture!! I can't wait to be able to do this with my daughter. I'm just always too leery of the unknown, and a possible spook and bolt.
The pony looks healthy and adorable.
Good job with him!

Oh my gosh that is so cute. You are so lucky. I've been helping a friend look for a horse for her 5 year old, and never realized until recently just how hard it is to find a good kid's pony.

So in lies the madness, the pursuit of the impossible in the face of the complete assurance that you will fail, and yet still you chase.

So adorable! He's looking good!

All I pay my psychiatrist is cost of feed and hay, and he'll listen to me any day!

Thanks all! It's taken a good bit of work but he's come on so well. My little one is besotted with him and they will be doing their first lead rein show in about 3 weeks time - have just organised to buy our outfits off somebody and they should be here by the end of the week!

Letagrlshowu - She is on the lead rein. My husband was leading her (and pushing the baby in the buggy). I'm somewhat struggling to let her off the lead - I don't trust him quite yet. I'm going to organise either an able child or small adult to school him throughout the summer. I'm too big, and my little one doesn't have the seat/ability to keep him right.

flytobecat - It is VERY difficult to find a good one. Hard to find honest people as well. We had bought her a gorgeous welsh type pony last year and were told he had done this/that/the other and I had to send him back; he was so scared of people that he would bolt when anybody would walk up near him.
