    Some racehorses from work!

I had a couple of chances to get some photos today. I'm normally too busy so there is only a couple of pictures. I forget there names right now.
The first picture is one of my favourite colts who you can always garantuee is going to be out of his stables when you do the morning feed fun. (which is what he had done in the picture) He is very friendly and playfull.

The second is a cute little weanling who is in for handling. He (i think) always looks over his stall door with this expressions when he hears someone coming.

Then my own racehorse Apache hehe.

Haha yes the grey chucks a hissy fit whenever you tell him to go away and he still wants a pat. I do love my Apache even if he is a bit dirty in that picture

Oh that's cute! Most racing stables I go to the horses don't know how to show affection! Oh pssht, apache makes a cute mud monster!

Haha yeah most of these horses arent even allowed to touch other horses so when they see someone they generally either react with running away (oh no its going to eat me) or walk all over you (oh my god someone to play with). Most of the ones who don't get to socialize at all are weanlings or 1-2 year olds. I feel bad for them.

Oh yeah and lack of affection wouldn't suprise me. Most of the people who work there just get in get the job done and tell them to get out of their way. A couple of people who work there though like to give them a pat or two when the higher ups aren't watching.

Its sad they get the chance to know how to have personality, or know how to respond to affection. Yeah I know what you mean with the higher ups, When I used to go out to the track and watch Karlos it wass all "His an athlete, not a pet" so they got funny when I merley smoothed over his mane. I think that's also a reason why he has no personality.

(oh and im not saying all racing stables are like that just from experience the ones I've been to) Ok now no one can attack me.

Yeah I know what you mean. Some of the ones who are only there for spelling or something do seem to be quite affectionate, so maybe at their regular stables they do get shown affection from people or something.
