Talking Summer Fun. My little herd.

So I spent the very, very hot afternoon taking some pictures the other day of my little herd. Here are some of the shots around the barn I got. ^_^

The dark brown mare is Abby and the little bay colt is hers, named Roux. Abby is working hard on picking up weight and being pretty! Roux is 2 months old. The grey mare is my AQHA mare, Holly. The black and white mare is Josey, the little paint fill in the back is still waiting on a name and just arrived. And last, but certainly not least, those white and bay legs belong to Gulliver, a paint/draft cross that is about to go to his new home with my good friend!

Better view of Josey looking all sexy with her weight gain. Up next is a hoof trim for her! And of course the sexy, macho Gulliver.

Our resident long-ear. She also needs a name.

The resident garden spider that's made a home in between some buildings. (Please ignore the mess >_<)

Benny the goat eating grain off the truck while I sat and took pics.

Holly isn't so sure about the idea of another girl taking away her attention. Hehe

Benny thinks he's a horse sometimes. He likes to visit with the big girls. He's a ladie's man...er...buck.

Your paint's are STUNNING. And that long ear is a beautiful girl. And your grey is pretty as well, my favourite shade. Pretty much ALL your horses are gorgeous. And that goat too cute ;P.

Thank you! I was never a paint girl growing up. I grew up with sorrels and bays, and never had horses of color aside from a flaxen chestnut once and what I used to think was my "white" horse. Lol

Now I'm kind of hooked on color! Josey drives me nuts with how elegant her colors are.

Oh, and the paint yearling has some name suggestions finally! Hoping to be sticking a final name with her soon!!
