Thanksgiving trail ride pictures.

So, since I'm not really big into the holiday thing, I felt like just getting away for a while today and decided to take my camera with me and get some pictures. I wish I had gone out sooner before all the trees got naked but oh, well.



This is what we call the Indian cave. The entrance itself is probably about 4 1/2 feet tall and it goes back about 10-15 feet into the cliff wall.

And here's what's left of the old house that used to stand out here.

This is what we call Lookout Point.


And this is the view from lookout point. The top is fairly flat and rocky but straight down the front is a dropoff of about 8 or 9 feet...






Then, you look up and see this.








Then there are just some others that I can't remember which order they are supposed to be in.

And I thought this was rather interesting. These rocks were all along the downhill edge of one of those old caprocks and they looked as if they had been splattered with paint.

Oh wow, I'm so jealous! We have snow everywhere... gross

That's gorgeous land

Why thank you. I am fortunate to have access to this land because it is part of a private hunting preserve but I do have the OK from the owner so long as I wear plenty of orange.

I think it would look prettier with just a dusting of snow but it seems that when we actually get snow and not ice, it's too windy to end up pretty, we get big drifts and everything else is bare LOL.

Gorgeous! Jealous that you can go riding and jealous that you don't have any snow on the ground. I'd definitely trade with you!
