I'm new on this site, but I want to say that I hope your Dad is doing OK.

As for vaulting -- those people will never have to worry about how to do emergency dismounts! And I suppose I should stop feeling guilty about shortening the side reins on my horse and making him canter for more than one circle!

Thank you. It's been a pretty rough trip, but at least he's home now. He was on his motorcycle and got hit head on by a drunk reject running from the cops, who not only didn't stop but proceeded to t-bone a 23 year old girl in a car a few blocks later (she's alright, some broken ribs and a concussion) and then took out a traffic light before fleeing on foot. :roll: He's back in jail now since he was on probation anyway from his LAST motor vehicle related offense. Sometimes I just hate people.
