What a beautiful girl! I was one that saw her picture along with the others when you were deciding which you would adopt, and I remember not liking her look at all. She's proven me wrong though and she is BEAUTIFUL! Looks like she had pretty nice conformation as well! So glad you stuck it through with her. She looks like a real winner.

Ah, thanks so much Endiku. By the way I am following your thread as well, its amazing what you are doing with Kenzie.

I must admit (but not in front of Twiggy) that she wasn't my first choice either... but the ones I originally went to see were either adopted, or had several people interested. They were all geldings as well, and I was told that all the interest were in the geldings anyway, and that no one had claimed even one filly, so I knew I had to take one.

I'm very happy with the way she looks now, I had several doubts about her potential usefulness based on her conformation, which of course isn't perfect. One person on here even told me not to bother training her, as she seemed horribly conformed and weedy. But now I think she will be the perfect companion for me, for what I do. If I want a show horse, I'll go buy one ha!

You'd be surpised by just what the 'weedy' ones can do! I used to ride a butt ugly, block headed, funky legged gelding but I swear there was no trail he wouldn't conquer and no request he wouldn't take to heart and try his darnedest on!

Thank you for your support with Kenzie. She's one lucky gal to have survived all that she as and I'll be happy if she turns out half as nice as Twiggy! I just hope that someone else is able to see her for what she is and not what she isn't as well. She deserves a great forever home.

    I love Twiggy's story!!!
Good on ya for doing right by her and not giving up~ it speaks volumes of your character.

And, I was drawn to your thread because I, too, have a Twiggy. But, I've had the reverse challenges with my Twigs. I found her abandoned, foundered, and OBESE! Now, she's a perfect (for me) lil mare.

I remember your Twiggy's thread, I thought she was absolutely gorgeous; I was a little jealous to be honest... I love bays, and even though there seem to be so many around, I don't even have one!

And you just found her... not fair!
