A typical cross-tie session for Indie..

So today I figured I'd get some more pictures of my lovely Indie! I took them with my phone so they're not the best quality.. but they are still forum-worthy! I think I love her more and more everyday, and she was quite happy when I came to save her from the rain. If a horse could look completely and utterly miserable.. then she did when I was bringing her back in from the pasture.

"Oh no.. not this again.."

Somebody managed to bite her, I'd say.. either way, I put some cream on it and hopefully it'll heal up!

"Look at these pearly whites!" (as if.. haha)

And I put her inside for the night because a) it's likely going to rain all night and her rain sheet isn't in yet and b) her feet don't do too well when it's really wet outside. I loaded up the stall with straw though because her bladder is basically an ocean..

And a quick video of her being somewhat good during our ride! We did loads of bending work (weaving through pylons, spirals, etc) and this is near the start of our ride. I'm trying to do more trot work just to keep her more engaged.

Thyme and Boo Walker like this.

Forever loved, never forgotten; my beautiful Indie. <3 Hoofprints on my heart.

I love the one where she's showing you her great "smile", haha. What a lucky girl!

I'd definitely say she lucked out! Living here is a big step up from where she was.. healthcare-wise and attention-wise. She's improving so much each time I'm up.. for example, today she finally stood still while I got on her!

I was cleaning her nose with baby wipes and I guess I went to far up her nose because she ended up making that face.. so I did it once more to get a picture! (oh the torture.. haha!)

Thanks! She appears to be gaining some weight but she's still ribby and a bit bony at her spine.. although I think it'll improve once she builds up some muscle there. There's definitely a difference energy-wise now as well. Not too sure how I'll feel about that as the months go on, but it's nice to not have to constantly nag to keep a forward pace!
