An update on me and mine...

I haven't been around much as life has been insanely hectic and I have barely had a moment to breathe. J and I are a little under 3 weeks away from becoming Mr & Mrs C and I am considering taking up a valium habit. Can't wait until the wedding part is over and we can start our married life!

The horses have not been helping stress levels any, but I am taking every opportunity I can get to spend some time with them at the moment. The spring weather has arrived and everyone is full of piss and vinegar, haha.

Phoenix has his fancy pants on...

Fanta is just a flat out hoon...

Hugo is the embodiment of a happy retiree. He's fat, filthy and fabulous

Rex did his bit to contribute to my stress levels by falling down a septic tank and skinning up both his back legs. He had a 10 day course of heavy duty antibiotics, as well as a tetanus anti-toxin and lots of cleaning.

Romance made her own contribution by somehow managing to puncture her foot and fracture her pedal bone 8 weeks ago. She's on stall rest for at least another 4 weeks, with very limited turn out allowed for quite some time after that. She'll also have roughly another 4 months of wearing her bar shoe.

Flirt is only 2 weeks away from turning TWO! He's been getting introduced to lots of scary things lately! Hopefully after the wedding, I will be putting up my round yard and introducing him to the saddle. He won't be ridden for a minimum of another year, quite possibly 2.

And Nippa. Nippa seems to have decided the appropriate speed to move from one end of his paddock to the other is without a doubt as quickly as his legs will carry him. This is the best photo I've managed of the little booger lately

    So that's my crew updated!

Thanks for the update, HC. I was wondering if you were ready for the loony bin yet, with everything you're trying to get done!

The critter all look fat and happy, so whatever you're doing, keep doing it!

SR, the loony bin looks more and more tempting with every passing hour believe me.

Great to see that your holding up with all the chaos around you! I remember my prewedding days, lol, that was 2 years ago as of yesterday though, don't know how time flies so fast tho...congrats on the wedding, and hope your ponies stay out of more trouble!

Thank you. The ponies are what's keeping me grounded at the moment I think, despite their penchant for injuring themselves, haha.

Good lord, HC... could your life be any more stressful?

... Bonus points if you read that in Chandler's voice...

    Can't wait for wedding photos!!!

Laugh! JDI, I certainly hope not. I'm burnt out enough as it is! We're getting married about 3 hours away from where we live so have been doing so many trips up there, picking up bouquets, hair and makeup trials, finalising things with the venue, etc and of course, because I have 2 injured horses who both need feeding and medicating twice a day we have done so many "day trips" in the last few weeks its actually ridiculous.

I can't wait to see how the photos turn out either! Our photographer did an awesome job with our "engagement" shoot on our property, so that combined with how STUNNING the venue is makes me pretty confident there will be some good ones :)

Just wanted to throw this up here. Romance is normally the closest thing to bombproof that a horse could possibly be. She's always cool, calm and collected...except when she's locked up for 8 weeks...

Hope things calm down a bit, HC. Will be expecting wedding pics!

Yay for the floating Nippa and Romance - that little move at the 8 second mark makes me think she wanted to be a cutting horse ;)

I've always said Ro is agile enough to be a cowhorse with training and no one ever believed me, haha.

Just got in from another round trip to meet with dj, celebrant, venue etc. Blergh, bed time now I think!
