The horses have not been helping stress levels any, but I am taking every opportunity I can get to spend some time with them at the moment. The spring weather has arrived and everyone is full of piss and vinegar, haha.
Phoenix has his fancy pants on...
Fanta is just a flat out hoon...
Hugo is the embodiment of a happy retiree. He's fat, filthy and fabulous
Rex did his bit to contribute to my stress levels by falling down a septic tank and skinning up both his back legs. He had a 10 day course of heavy duty antibiotics, as well as a tetanus anti-toxin and lots of cleaning.
Romance made her own contribution by somehow managing to puncture her foot and fracture her pedal bone 8 weeks ago. She's on stall rest for at least another 4 weeks, with very limited turn out allowed for quite some time after that. She'll also have roughly another 4 months of wearing her bar shoe.
Flirt is only 2 weeks away from turning TWO! He's been getting introduced to lots of scary things lately! Hopefully after the wedding, I will be putting up my round yard and introducing him to the saddle. He won't be ridden for a minimum of another year, quite possibly 2.
And Nippa. Nippa seems to have decided the appropriate speed to move from one end of his paddock to the other is without a doubt as quickly as his legs will carry him. This is the best photo I've managed of the little booger lately
So that's my crew updated!
