Dreamcatcher is doing well. He's put on weight and is filling out nicely, although he is starting to act like a stallion even though he hasn't dropped. Miniatures can be quite the hand ful ;)
Hidalgo is a new horse. No more shying and running away, freaking out the crossties, or rearing with the farrier. Some bad behavior certainly had to do with pain though. His feet hadn't been done in a year, but after a few trims they are looking nice. His teeth also hadn't been done and were very sharp, causing some cuts and abrasions on the inside of his cheeks, and of course, his sheath hadn't been done. The vet actually couldn't believe she was able to take out the bean without putting him under. Normally she has to, considering it was about the size of a golf ball!!! He accepts the contact now, and canters instead of bucking. Still needs lots of work, but I'm quite pleased with how he's coming along.
As for Daizey, things couldn't be better. A few longe lessons completely changed me as a rider, and it was like I had a new horse. Her strides are actually loose and swinging, and I can feel her pushing from behind. We've been working on shoulder-ins and leg yields to supple her and improve engagement. According to my trainer we're finally over our hump, and can now work on the fun stuff :)
So basically, things are pretty awesome.
He lays down a lot

What a good shave and some weight will do
