Exclamation Vince Dugan's Show Aug. 15th 2009* Riding Trooper.

Hi, everyone! So, as most of you know, I ride English & jump. I joined the showteam at the place I ride at now, & it's been going up from there!
Daytona (horse I ALWAYS ride, my loveee<3) was lame (but getting so much better every day) because she had an abcess, so I had to ride Trooper. Trooper is rarely ever worked, but he's a really good, willing horse. Pretty, too. :) LOL, ignore my game face. :P

Yesterday was a VERY long day. I had to wake up at 4AM, get to the place I ride at around 6, get Trooper ready (we had a grooming/schooling session the night before, though) & put him on the trailer. Ah, got there around 7. Now, our divisions weren't until 10AM & 3PM. But, we did have fun waiting around & getting prepared. Also, we could school in the meantime (practice).

Sorry, so long...but I won a 5th & 6th place. Ah, not my best. But it was my second time riding Trooper, cut me some slack!
NOTE: I decided not to jump him yesterday. He's not ready. He's out of shape & unbalanced. Gotta work with him more.
PICS! :aw:
BTW: & BELIEVE ME, it was VERY hot, 87F degrees!

Trooper's well, a trooper! LOL.

Waiting to go into the indoor arena for our last division. Number 226 (me) FTW! :)

My Mom was like "SMILE!" I was tightening his girth. LOL!

I LOVE his caramel eyes. :)

Warming up. Beautiful scenery, eh?

BTW: Here are some the photographer's pictures: Credit goes to JohnRobert S.

The whole team. I love us.

Ride more, worry less.

Ahah, thanks! About the saddle, well, he has a swayback. So, the saddle may have been sliding back, or appears to be back too far. He's not worked very much, but hopefully he'll get some muscle soon.

Ride more, worry less.

Cute! Not bad for a last minute choice in mounts!

He's a pretty boy. You ride in a really pretty place. I wish I lived in the USA. Where I live where in a drought. Stupid Australia!

Wow, he's absolutely stunning! Such a unique color, and looks like a pretty flashy mover too :) Looks like you had a great time.
As a side note, though: 87 sounds positively chilly to me! Try doing a show in San Diego with a full shirt and hunt coat in 107 degree weather (my last show was one of those). Haha. It's not pretty.

To be loved by a horse should fill us with awe - for we have not deserved it.

Humans are like Slinkies. Practically useless, but still fun to push down the stairs.
