    WAHOO!!! MY FOAL'S HERE!!

    Ok, I'm on a bit of a high at the moment so bear with me . . . .hehehehe . . . . . . . . .
    This morning I was at work and I got a call from Renae (the lady that owns the property my mare is agisted on). She said she had just looked out the ktchen window and saw Breeze (my mare) with a foal!! HEHEHEHEHE!!!!!
    A nice strong healthy chestnut colt!!!
    Although he did have some trouble with the suckling today so we had to feed him a bit ourselves but he's finally getting the hang of it . . . .sort of . . . . .after twelve hours . . . . .you think that would be one of the first things he'd learn!! Lol He's my mare's first foal and the first foal of mine too! He's lucky he's got such a patient mum with all his fumbling and sucking her elbows and hocks . . . . :)

    Here's some pic from this arvo;

    What an adorable little horse! He looks so sweet and innocent with his eyes closed.

    I'm not sure what I'm going to call him yet but i'm thinking about 'Zephyr' which means a soft mild breeze. This suits because his mums name is 'Gentle Breeze' and his dads name is 'Zafire' so the 'z' would be used from his dad.
    But i'm not sure yet . . . . .

    That is so precious :)

    I like the name Zephyr and the meaning to go with the parents names.

    AWW! Reminds me of the foal my friend's mare had in March,
    That thing is only 4 months now and almost tall as mama, who is
    around 14 something hands! It's amazing how fast they grow!
