We went to a trail ride :) - LOOOOTS of pics

We went to Rasnov, a mountain touristic vilage. There is an equitation center there where I go - usually on salary day only though - and this time ****ed_evans joined me too.

We had great fun, we relaxed, we enjoyed every bit of it.
I have a lot of respect for who runs this place, 80 horses, only 7 employees, around 7 dogs, some...fawns and reindeer and everything is shiny clean, the stables are impeccable no matter when you visit, all horses are perfectly groomed, well fed and well trained.

The horse I got to ride, Beauty. Just a tad lazy sometimes and eager to munch anything she saw, but otherwise great babysitter for me :)

The horse ****ed_evans rode, Ilona, 7 years old. Energetic nice girl :)

A Romanian shepherd dog puppy :) these guys can get quite huge when full grown.

In the stables

A nice arabian-mix 4 year old.

More horse butts. Busy with their lunch :)

Not only QH's have nice rounded behinds :) I think this young lady had quite a nice bum

They have some friesian stallions too, however they use them for carriage and definitely not for tourist riding :)

What gorgeous horses! I love the dappled greys you both rode...my favorite color. And a beautiful facility. Thank you so much for sharing!

Thanks :)
I forgot a few

They also had some reindeers and...fawns I guess? in their own paddock. they were all quite shy except this little guy who was fiercely defending his family and poking the fence

Dunno why but this stallion was the only one who had bars above his head level to his box. We did venture for a timid nose scratch and he enjoyed it a lot.

I didn't get to ask ****ed_evans if she agrees for our mugs to appear on a public forum so I'll skip those pictures for now. Here's some horse ears :)

What we thought to be a ...shrunken Friesian / Fell Pony prooved to be a temperamental local mountain breed. They're chunky, sturdy and fast.

Does anyone recognize the type of saddles they used on our horses? (the saddled dapples) We both noticed how comfortable they were and ****ed_Evans noticed they had an extra um....bump of material where you place your knee. Really awesome!

It's in a mountain touristic village in Romania (Eastern Europe)
Yep, you go there and ride. Around 25$ / hour more or less. There's always someone from the barn with you though, on horseback as well

They also do lessons and if the people never been on a horse before they lead the horses around...however I find that idea awfully boring
