Many people have sighed for the 'good old days' and regretted the 'passing of the horse,' but today, when only those who like horses own them, it is a far better time for horses. ~C.W. Anderson

Very beautiful! I especially like the one with the horse's head peeking through the barn slats. I've never been to WV, but I've been to Virginia and it's gorgeous! You have a great eye for artistic shots. What camera did you use?

All these were taken with my Nikon N60 with a 100-300 mm macro lens. I love it there... it is SO much prettier then Fl. If I could bring myself to move. Id go in a hearbeat.

I feel the same way, I'm hoping to go to college down there, but then I'd have to pay to bring my horse... trailering is too expensive... I even know where I would board haha.

I live in WV and there is no place I would rather live. I lived in FL for 12 years, I do miss the beach sometimes - but I LOVE it here. We get made fun of so much by the rest of the US for being some backwood hillbilly state but it really is just a beautiful place to live. I live about 5 miles off the beaten path and everyday when I drive to town or back home I always feel blessed to live in rural WV...it's like driving through a scenic calendar at times.

Yea... I go there every year. And in all honesty I see more raggedy/hillbilly looking neighborhoods here... than I have ever seen in WV. A lot of people pick jokes when they find out that is where my family is from... but I just ignore it.
