Western Thoroughbreds?

So, who else has western Thoroughbreds? I wish I had an actual ranch because my mare is probably my ideal ranch horse (still working on better neck reining and leg cues lol). She can cut a cow (as well as a 15.2h horse can haha, drag logs, pony spazz horses, open/close gates, and goes over/through anything.

I do speed events (barrels, poles, keyhole, etc), trail, and the odd classes. Primarily I trail ride her though, and yesterday was probably the best ride we've ever had.

So, what all do you guys do with your western TBs? Please, include pictures!

Here's mine. Ranching is his job 10 months a year.

The other two (our very short season) he does what he was bred for. Practice chukkers. I don't have game photos I can share.

TBs are more popular for ranching than QHs in many parts of the West.

My moms gelding Red. Hes the biggest clumsiest goofball but hes my moms buddy and shes gained SO much confidence learning to ride him haha plus he takes tremendous care of her and boy can he book it when I run him lol but then hell turn aeojnd and be a docile beginner plug for my mom.

And while my boy is not a TB (that we know of) hes just as big as Red with a good bit more uh bulk and I have yet to find something he cant do (besides run. He aint about that life haha)

love it! My first horse was a 16.1 lanky narrow bodied Standardbred and I only rode him western. Trail rides and open shows, we looked kinda goofy but we had a blast!
