What color is he?

Any suggestions as to what color he is? He gets dapples sometimes. I just think he's an oddball color. I'm trying to find a better picture.

With the mane and tail...looks almost like a liver chestnut to me. No matter the color though, he is absolutely gorgeous!

Liver... some call it liver chestnut...

His dam was a palamino. Idk about the sire.

I was thinking the same thing..I used to have a little chocolate palomino RMH (you can see Rocky in my horses if it helps) and the colouring looks similar to me but just lighter..and I'm no professional but I see a lot of variation in the coat and main/tail colours of choc. Palominos..
