Winter has arrived with a vengence.....

It is currently 9:21 am, 26 degrees (F) with a 16 degree wind chill and 95% humidity. One of those cruddy winter days that everyone hates . Anyway, just wanted to share some pix of our lovely "snow". LOL.

Here is our version of snow. Those little white things are actually ice balls. We have got nothing except them and freezing rain that turns to black ice on everything.

This is the whitest this area has been all winter.

And now pix of all my poor darlings covered in ice.

My oldest pair. Flipper: 19-20 and Flash: 26

It doesn't show quite as well on Dobe.

I'm guessing by the proximity of those horses, that they are very wild they all look pretty mad at the weather conditions. What kid of temperatures do you guys normally get there?

^^Yeah, they are all scary wild. LOL. I had to keep backing up because they were all wondering about that thing in my hand and if it would be good to eat . This is more traditional weather for this area but our winters have been so mild for the last few years that no one is used to it being this cold. It has been getting down in the single digits here at night with negative wind chills. I can deal with the cold, I just wish the wind wouldn't come with it. LOL. I would never survive in Canada or somewhere that it actually got cold.

Dude, our high in Manisnowba is -18 degrees celcius, dropping to -27 overnight...trade ya?! Well maybe, the only good thing about the cold is that any precipitation comes down as snow instead of ice rain...I hate black ice! At least snow and real ice is visible!
