Poppet is a ex eventer, but leads a quieter life now days. She still loves jumping. Prince is just in the slow process of being broken to ride. They are both pets and leisure. so we school and hack and jump and at times take them out cross country
Poppet used to do a lot of shows when she was younger.
I had no intentions of getting prince at all. I was thinking about getting a second but was never planning on getting a youngster and a unbroken one at that. When I first went to view Prince he was almost like a wild pony. I spent hour trying to go into the stable to say 'hello' but he was having none of it! spinning on me and threatening me so I decided nope not for me.... 20 mins later I went back in to find my daughter sat out side his stable and him sniffing, licking and chewing and stood quietly with my daughter. It was like they had known each other for ages. They bond they have is great and me and him have a great bond now too so I wouldn't change him for the world.
That is so precious! It's nice your daughter gets to discover the special bond between a man and horse! And that you get to experience it again, too! There's nothing like it. Both are gorgeous horses
