    YAY, I rode Big John

Okay, so I went home this weekend and got ambitious so I talked to my Dad about how long before I could ride John. We caught him up and checked his knees and hocks and they were closed. YAY!!!! I started riding him that day. I have now ridden him 3 times and just thought I would share some pix and video. These are from his first ride.

And these are from his third ride just yesterday before I had to come home.

This one kinda shows his size a little better.

And here is the first time I rode him bareback. (on the 3rd ride)

Here is the link to the one video. Before you start critiquing, he has a trot that is impossible to sit (saddle or bareback). The reason that I am not gripping with my legs is because I had my spurs on and I did not want to gut-hook him. He is still kinda learning how to go in a straight line and is reluctant to leave the sight of the barn but he is getting better. And don't laugh at the part where I nearly fall off and hurt myself LOL.

Thanks everyone. Gotx, I am not sure how tall he is. I have a measuring stick that only goes to 17hh and he is at least 18hh but maybe more. It is kinda hard for me to tell cause I can't see how much taller his withers are than the stick. He is already lots of fun even being green broke.
