I just saw a show on TV about a stag hunt in England. It sort of looked like a trail ride. Maybe they didn't want to show the stag being run down but I wondered, do the dogs do all the work and the riders just follow the dogs? I loved all the tradition behind it, everyone being very proper and dressed up in the hunting togs. Is it always like that?

I find it quite strange you start off from really posh places on really well looked after gardens by big posh halls and people come round and give you wine and biscuits/cakes before you go! misty chases the biscuit people!

I never got to go on a proper hunt, as it got banned but we go on drag hunts and the hounds come!

I belonged to the lake of two montians hunt club in montreal for a year and had a great time hunting with them, (dragging) it was a lot fun but also a lot of stress on the horse
