Horse rescue needs help!!

I am a volunteer for The Grace Foundation of El Dorado Hills, CA. We rescue abandoned and abused horses, many of which are used in our extensive youth and adult rehab programs. Last year, we were asked by Wells Fargo and BofA to take in 56 starving and abused horses from a ranch in Susanville Ca. The banks were foreclosing on the property. After the fact, it was determined 22 of the mares were pregnant. Due to legal machinations by the banks and the owner (who is awaiting trial for 65 counts of animal abuse), Grace has been left with the total cost of caring for these horses and foals (over $500,000 now) and is in imminent danger of closure. We have been lied to and deceived. Please post on FB, twitter, etc. We need the banks to see what the power of many can do. If you can help financially, there is a link to donate on the site. Send them a bill. These horses belong to those banks, therefore they have to maintain their upkeep. Even with foreclosure there has to be an accounting of property at the time of foreclosure. I do believe the courts demand that.

The banks pulled a fast one and had Grace take the horses under the impression the banks had taken them as assets. However, the owner had filed for bankrupcy 2 days before they took the horses ( and Grace was told he filed after they took them) and the horses remain his assets legally. There were many horse carcasses as well as dead dogs on the property and he is awaiting trial, so they can't be returned. Grace's mistake was trusting an atty that works for the bank. They are suing, but need the help now. I just wanted to post everywhere I could to get the word out. Thanks for reading!
