Yeah, that might be it. I have been trying to work him over trot poles and raised trot poles (and a canter pole), but the last few rides we never got around to them in a sane manner. I am riding again tomorrow, so will put trot poles down again.
I am trying to sign up for a jumping clinic with Lesley Stevenson at the end of March, which will help us get out, do something new, and finally learn something! This no trainer thing sucks...
