Wink Appendix AQHA! Please Critique~*~*~

I would love to hwve her conformation critiqued.
Her is some information about her: 10 year old Appendix AQHA mare. 15.3 hands high and about 1100 pounds. She is a little out of shape due to not riding her as much.
Thanks

Yearling
Nothing huge stands out to me, but I don't have that awesome eye that some people on here have. I like here face marking. What do you do with her?

I bought her 3 years ago as a rescue and spent the first year rehabing her....all of last year I gamed on her (barrels and poles mostely) and this year I havent done a whole lot dueto a back injury of mine (she isnt as trusting under saddle as my Arab) im starting to get her back in shape and on the barrel pattern again...

She stands under herself in the front, she toes out in the back. Her neck doesn't tie in very nicely.

She has a good amount of muscle and a nice build. I like her hip, it's not perfect but very acceptable.

Love her color! I'm a sucker for bays!

There would be nothing wrong with howing this mare in a performance (cutting/reining) class. A few minor flaws means nothing if they can work and give you their all as far as I'm concerned.

I agree 100% with you...she has done alot in her 10 yrs...she was a race horse as a two yr old, a barrel horse as a three yr old, some drassage, western pleasure, and the owner who I bought her from, used her as a heeling horse (she loves cows)...once I get more financially stable, im hoping to have her try reining. I have someone who will help me train her for that (or dig the commands out of her head lol!!) she sometimes acts like she has done reining...she is really good at doing rollbacks undersaddle at the touch of my leg and a kiss noise (you should have seen it when I first did that, I almost flew out of the saddle lol)

Im not sure what all she has done, but she has the mentality to be a good all around horse.
I also plan on breeding her in the near future to a paint in the area.
