Arabian critique

Okay, I tried this before and I didn't really get a 'critique' from anyone, just like, she's cute and stuff. Which is fine(who doesn't need an ego boost from time to time?), but I was thinking of maybe doing some local halter with her next fall and I'd like to get an idea of where I stand with her confo. So, please tell me what you think of her. I don't have many of her standing square, but a few are close. Let me know what you think. Thanks! (I tried to find a pic of her legs, but only found that odd angle one...)

Nice looking mare ! I would say for show , she will need more muscle tone especially on her rump & shoulder/chest. She has a lovely shoulder , a nice neck but could be improved . Her croup could be a little flatter ( but we can't change that)... but I much rather see one like hers than one that looks deformed & of course would start ruging her with tail bag to try to get that tail to grow... you can get a supplement for it & her color would come up better on black as night supplement .

All in all though you have a nice looking mare and should do well.

Whats her breeding? How tall is she ?

Thanks, that was very helpfull! She does need more toning, and I fully plan on working on that, but she was a brood mare for the last three years so she has not been seriously ridden for at least that long. Once her colt is off of her in a couple months I hope to be far enough back into her training that I can get her on the trail. She is approx. 14.2-14.3, I didn't measure her, but she is with a 14.1 pony and she is a bit bigger than him so... Here is her pedigree, I don't know all that much about reading pedigrees, but I am told she is polish and egyptian. Let me know more about her breeding if you have the time, I'm always interested in learning!

I can't shed much light on her pedigree , I found a site that has some famous sire's on it , I know one f these stallions is in her pedigree( Don Ibn Bask)

I've looked through that site and actually found quite a few of horses from further back on her pedigree on there. That's kind of cool. I've already been told that there's nothing spectacular up close in her pedigree though, but a little further back is quite interest.....Thanks again for the site, very interesting.

The only critique I can give is that her toes look rather long, though she might just be overdue for a good trim in the pics, it would def be of benefit to get them trimmed up good if not, it will also give her a more graceful walk when you show her.... Other than that I think you stand a good chance at the shows with a bit of toning and a ood polishing! Good Luck!

Yeah those photos are from a couple of weeks ago, she got trimmed up a week and a half ago. :)
